Kastner | January 22, 2015 “Super Saturday” Pre-game Check up!The Wisconsin Association of Free and Charitable Clinics is hosting a Health and Wellness Fair at the Washington County Fairgrounds, Saturday – January 31st.The event is in coordination with numerous “Super Saturday” events throughout the state taking place that day which can be viewed at www.enrollwi.org.The “Super Saturday” fair is free AND welcomes community members of Washington, Ozaukee, and surrounding counties. The event is offering the following healthcare services and educational opportunities:Medical ServicesFree blood pressure checks provided by the Albrecht Free Clinic. Free mammogram screenings (with financial assistance applications) provided by Susan G. Komen and Marshfield Clinics’ Mobile Mammography unit. Free Women’s/Breast Health Education provided by Froedtert & Medical College of Wisconsin/Medical Professionals.Broad-based Community Health and Wellness ProgramsSeveral non-profit organizations will have informational tables regarding their health and wellness focused programs including: Casa Guadalupe Education Center, Inc. American Heart Association, Family Promise, Volunteer Center of Washington County, Senior Activities Center, Chix-4-A-Cause, and Partners for Community Development.BadgerCare and Healthcare.gov enrollment assistanceApproximately 8+ assisters are happy to answer questions regarding the BadgerCare (state Medicaid) application process, AND help families navigate Healthcare.gov for private insurance.
